So far so good. Consistent grinds. Very easy to use. No static and very quiet. Arrived without damage.

If you want a trouble free coffee grinder that is quiet, quick, and easy to use, consistent grinds, with very little mess, and easy to clean, then this is it. Your coffee grinding PTSD will be eliminated. I have used less expensive grinders than this Kitchen Aid, including a $20 Kitchen Aid, that was slow, loud, and difficult to clean. This grinder can be easily set for expresso, drip, and pour over. It has a slid for grind size that can be quickly set and a fine tuning dial to set the number of cups which also controls the grind time. It even has a micro adjustment knob.

I have now used this grinder a dozen times with absolutely no problems, not even static in the grind collector cup. Cleaning is easy. The stainless steel conical burr can be removed for cleaning, but should not be rinsed. The other parts, the coffee bean holder and collector cup with lid, and bottom tray should only be hand washed. Time wise, I can grind 5 different 1 lbs batches of whole bean coffee and clean up the machine in less than 1 hour at a leisure pace.

The most tedious part of cleanup are the top and bottom conical burrs using the provided brush. If you clean the conical burrs, the removable top burr, and the bottom fixed burr, after completing your grinding, your grinder will not clog and your coffee grinds will be consistent every time you use it. I clean the conical burrs, run the machine for the equivalent of 1 to 2 cups, reclean, and repeat 3 times. This only takes a few minutes to do.

We really like this grinder. However, the preset settings are imperfect. Fortunately for us, my husband retired from coffee roasting and was able to calibrate the grind. He even took a sample grind to his former work to confirm
He had the grind correct for drip coffee. They confirmed he has a good eye for the grind level. So with some tweaking, it now grinds properly and grinds the exact amount needed each morning. Some have complained about static issues. We have zero static issues. The grounds do bot stick to the grind pot. If you expect to use it without some personalized tweaks, it us not for you. If you can do the tweks, it’s fabulous.

This is a great quality product and is very quiet. Worth the money.

    Works great!
You put your grounds, select the method and cup count desired, and wait a few seconds and you will have the right amount of coffee for the right amount of cups. Why this is a game-changer? Because you will ensure an easy way to have freshly ground coffee for the method you want and for the cups that you need, every time and in just a few seconds. If you like to grind your coffee and like to use different methods for that, this is your new best friend!
It sounds loud, not going to lie, but it’s relatively quiet if you compare it to a typical grinder. It’s less loud than a typical blender.

Its good for the price, if you do deep research on this, you’ll find that this is like a “high-end product for the middle tier of grinders”. The next one in price/quality will be the professional ones and the price distance will be considerable and not necessarily have the many options and perks this great product has.
I use it every day, at least 3 times a day and my coffee tasting is better just because now I enjoy, with no effort, the right ground size and the right amount of coffee.

My old coffee grinder didn’t exactly stop working, but it did start giving me problems. After a few years of dependable service, I would have to run it several times, and for several minutes, to get very little coffee grounds. I took it apart, cleaned it, etc… but nothing worked. Needless to say, I needed a new grinder.

I enjoy a good cup of coffee, but I’m not a coffee nerd. I’m not pulling espresso shots at home, so I can’t speak to how well it will meet the expectations of that crowd. I’m making a pot or two of drip coffee with fresh ground beans every morning. For my use, it’s great. In fact, it might be the best grinder on the market for my use case.

There’s a lot to like! It has a generously sized hopper with a tight sealing lid, and you can remove it while it’s filled (that’s awesome). It has 70 grind settings, and grind times from 1 second to 91.9 seconds (in 10th of a second intervals). The default cups/shots settings were very accurate in my testing. I set it to 8 cups, then measure what it produced with the included coffee scoop, and it was almost exactly 8 scoops. That said, you can adjust the default settings and program custom settings. The collection cup fits tightly against the dispenser so all of the grounds make it into the cup (no mess), and the collection cup is static free. It grinds efficiently and produces a uniform grind, and did I mention it’s quiet? This thing is quiet!

Whatever grinder you might have, this is likely an upgrade. Again, I’m not talking to the espresso nerds, but it might work great for you also. It will dispense directly into a portafilter.

  7. TAMS

It has a small footprint (considering its functionality), is accurate and highly tunable to your needs (the espresso portafilter mount is particularly handy), it is well made and critically, VERY quiet (important during early morning coffee-making sessions). Yes, it is expensive and it is mildly irritating that some colors can cost more than other colors but this is a very good grinder.

  8. GGuz

Pretty amazing from coffee snobs who like to grind their own coffee and do pour over. Best grinder we have ever had. Doesn’t make a mess. Super accurate when you need exact amounts of coffee for your taste. Very quiet. It’s kitchen aid so it comes in red to match my wife’s other kitchen aid products. It’s just wonderful and highly recommend.

  9. Robert Reekie

Once you learn how to set it up for the grind you want it’s perfect. I pregrind then vaccuum seal. So for me its the biggest drip setting for 70 seconds. I do two of those and ground catcher is perfectly full. Compared to my last grinder, i think i could use it in a library. Perfect for my wants and needs. And no changes between French Roast and Pikes Place. That it works this well now. It is great. As for longevity we will see. But ive already done 24 lbs. beans in 2 weeks and no problems. A very good machine.

KitchenAid impresses again. I went thru two grinders in the last 4 years. They were another brand. They were really noisy (I didn’t run it in the morning for fear of waking up neighbors in next house). It accumulated static so bad that when you opened it after a cycle there were grounds everywhere. It was a pain to clean and with both, they just stopped working. I decided to splurge on a KitchenAid. Wow, should have bought it years ago. It is quiet, the grounds fall into the bin and it is easy to empty with no mess anywhere. It is larger than the old one in height but footprint is same. I am having problems finding a shelf space because if it but really, I could keep it on the counter. I am super picky about my coffee routine and this machine impressed me.

  11. Dan T

It is quiet and clean. Doesn’t spit grinds all over like another one we had. I like the design. It is aesthetically pleasing while sitting on the counter, and has a lot of adjustment for grind size. It comes apart easily, and is incredibly easy to clean. Even the burr ring comes out without tools. I highly recommend this unit

I’ve ground a variety of different beans including oily ones and haven’t had any problems so far. Only thing I’ve seen is the motor will overheat if you try to grind too much at once and shut off to cool off. But that’s because I’m grinding 6 oz bags of coffee for my business just to test it.
