I have been buying Bustelo original pods for almost two years and it is our favorite–we have tried Nespresso’ best like Kona, Jamaican Blue Mountain, and a host of other flavors and brands. However,, unfortunately, what is good for the planet is not so good for the palette. The recent change from plastic to aluminum pods did change the flavor and it is not as good as before. It is still priced significantly cheaper than Nespresso’s own pods and still tastes good and so we will continue to purchase and yet fondly miss the old flavor profile.

How can you change the packaging and mess up the good thing you had going. After waiting over a month on backorder, received the shipment with a new packaging never imagining that the coffee I had learned to love now was the worst nespresso coffee I’ve ever had. Way to lose your customers. Congratulations to the new genius that came up with that brilliant idea.

It is different size than expected. It is a smaller size than expected an will not fit my machine. Bummer….

Happy it’s now aluminum, much preferred to the plastic because now I can throw it in the recycling bag! But this box doesn’t stay closed when storing upright unfortunately next to some of my other brands for the nespresso that have a little “latch” to hook the box closed

Flavor profile of this Brazil Cafe Bustelo is great – prefer this over the original blend, which I didn’t really think was possible. Full-bodied roast.
