I stopped by the Molina Fine Art Gallery located right off of #calleocho #miami to view some of the pieces created by Cuban artist luis_molina_mart. Luis shared the inspiration for his creative pieces along with the meaning behind several of his paintings. Luis uses bright colors to tell his story, and also described how Spanish and African influences are captured in his paintings. I noticed that the eyes are highlighted in all of his paintings, Luis explained that he firmly believes that your eyes can speak volumes without you ever having exchanged words. #miami #molinafineart #florida #calleocho #cuba #littlehavana #littlehavanamiami
I`m so happy that I`ve finally got this on my wall. This is a print of Ogun from Molina Fine Art Gallery on Calle Ocho that I picked up while I was in Miami last November/December. It took a while to find a frame that was the right size, but my partner theokyrillidis found one and mounted it for me. I love it. Ogun, the spirit of iron, is the orisha that owns my head.

Have you visited #MolinaFineArt in #LittleHavana? One of our founding partners and a grand supporter of #CulturalFridays since the beginning. The gallery opened its doors in 2001, and artist Luis Molina’s art has shown us the magical world of Afro-Cuban folklore and the proud beauty of the Cuban country people ever since. His originals are breathtaking and we are quite lucky to have him here in our little neighborhood.
You can visit him daily or during our next Viernes Culturales Friday, February 15th.
