Little Havana Tours holds the highest standards when it comes to joining their elite team. Each guide must demonstrate in-depth, accurate knowledge of the history and heritage of Little Havana within the larger context of Miami and Cuba history, and have a genuine interest for sharing that history. All guides are fully bilingual (English/Spanish), they both work and live in the neighborhood, and they are fully immersed in all cultural aspects.
Little Havana is at the heart of Miami. The history and ethnic landscape has invariably evolved from the native Tequesta Indians, to the British Bahamians that settled here, to the enterprising Jews of the 1930s and 40s, to the Cuban exile families of the past 50 years. Little Havana is a constant metamorphosis. According to experts, “mosaic” is the new term to replace “melting pot”. A heritage of so many bloodlines and traditions. As they are always blending and evolving, we take it a step further and identify it as a “kaleidoscope”. Our team is a part of this brilliant vibrancy. The food hall’s roster includes: Jaffa, Dal Plin, Hot Lime, Tran An, Sabal Coffee, COOP and The Bar at MIA Market, including new concepts like Foirette, Ruby Dee‘s, Osom Bites, and Sushi Yasu Tanka. ⠀

One of us checked it out and said the layered potato from Foirette and the sushi from Yasu Tanaka were a culinary experience, and if you’re in the mood for some pasta, the truffle pasta from Dal Plin is a no brainer 🙌⠀

The party raged at Calle Ocho’s popular Ball & Chain nightclub Saturday night as Little Havana business owners William “Bill” Fuller and Martin Pinilla celebrated their multi-million dollar lawsuit win over Miami City Commissioner Joe Carollo.
“It’s an enormous, monumental evening,” Fuller said. “We’re at one of the most exciting times we’ve been at in a long time and I think the world now realizes that we were on the right side of the law.”
About 50 guests celebrated with the pair in a roped off section of the nightclub, which Fuller owns. Friends, family and Little Havana stakeholders were invited to the exclusive party.
Apart from the guests, pounding salsa music and dozens of champagne flutes was an interesting addition to the festivities.
Several sizable paper cockroaches with Carollo’s face were was also in attendance, thrown on the floor for all partying to take a turn stepping on — many got a “squish” in. Smaller versions were used as drink accessories. #littlehavana #joecarollo #miami #politics #calleocho

You might know him as Danny Figueredo, the man behind sanguichdemiami , a popular Cuban sandwich shop in Little Havana 🤤 But what you may not know is that Danny built this restaurant using the knowledge and skills he acquired over a diverse and fascinating 25 year career trajectory.

And guess what? It his background had ZERO to do with the restaurant business. Danny was a prominent fashion designer, stylist, and architect who worked with high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Lancome.

This interview goes beyond the delicious sandwiches you know. He talks about how he started, the misconception surrounding success, and how completely losing his entire lucrative business led him to opening up Sanguich.

One of my favorite places to visit in Miami for many obvious reasons. It makes me feel all nostalgic with all the Cuban shops, The Restaurants, The art, The music even the famous park where they play Dominoes.
This is where I spent my last birthday (March). I wanted to enjoy my culture and spend a day reminiscing about my beautiful island of Cuba. I pray to one day be able to visit a FREE Cuba. Free of all this evil that has held my poor people back from being great. I heard something the other day that stuck to me heavy. marcorubiofla said “The only country in the world where Cubans can’t succeed is Cuba” and I can’t tell you how accurate this is. I pray things change for Cuba soon. They deserve to live free, to be successful, to be happy and to just LIVE.
Thanks to all who have been so supportive especially now during these times. Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and those who helped you before you even had to ask. I am beyond grateful for all of you who have helped to spread the word regardless of where you’re from or if you have any direct ties or not. I see you, we see you and it means the world to us to know we are not alone.

One of my favorite places to visit in Miami for many obvious reasons. It makes me feel all nostalgic with all the Cuban shops, The Restaurants, The art, The music even the famous park where they play Dominoes.
This is where I spent my last birthday (March). I wanted to enjoy my culture and spend a day reminiscing about my beautiful island of Cuba. I pray to one day be able to visit a FREE Cuba. Free of all this evil that has held my poor people back from being great. I heard something the other day that stuck to me heavy. marcorubiofla said “The only country in the world where Cubans can’t succeed is Cuba” and I can’t tell you how accurate this is. I pray things change for Cuba soon. They deserve to live free, to be successful, to be happy and to just LIVE.
Thanks to all who have been so supportive especially now during these times. Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and those who helped you before you even had to ask. I am beyond grateful for all of you who have helped to spread the word regardless of where you’re from or if you have any direct ties or not. I see you, we see you and it means the world to us to know we are not alone.
