Absolutely loved this place. The owners care so much about every aspect of their sandwiches. They make everything from scratch, and you can taste the difference. The meats are well seasoned with tons of depth of flavor. The bread is perfectly crusty and glistening from being basted with lard. The proportions of everything were spot on. Every ingredient compliments the rest, including the sauces and their scratch-made hot sauces, that despite being made with frighteningly hot peppers (lookin at you guava + Carolina reaper), the flavors still shine through.

My fav was the pan con lechon bc I’m a serious sucker for pickled onions and their sweet acidity complimented the fatty, shredded roasted pig perfectly.

And please whatever you do, don’t sleep on the croquettas. They are so crispy on the outside, not greasy at all, smooth and salty inside, and the SAUCE. ✋🏻 So bright, fresh and tangy. Perfect with the croquettas.

And guess what? It his background had ZERO to do with the restaurant business. Danny was a prominent fashion designer, stylist, and architect who worked with high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Lancome.

Is that a super Cuban thing to do? Or is that just something my dad does? Lol! He put me on to it when I was a kid. Besides the croqueta Preparada at sanguichdemiami, I tried the pan con lechon, pan con bistec, and their shakes. Overall, I had a very nice experience. Food was good, service was great, and I`m just obsessed with the coladita shake. This place can get busyyyy (for obvious reasons) so if you go, go early!! -

One of the most important factors in choosing a vacation destination to me is food. This time, the sole purpose of this trip to Miami was the WBC tournament. I didn’t really look much into food options - a little unusual of me.
Then, Cuban food happened…!🤯 I gotta admit, I did consider visiting Cuba a while back and didn’t think the food looked that great and chose to go to #oaxaca #mexico (amazinglicious food destination, btw!). I will never really know what “real” Cuban food in Cuba is like until I visit the country, but oh boy, wasn’t the food I had in Little Havana great…!👍
Actually, the version of Miami I experienced this time really punched above its weight. I used to associate Miami with clubs, nightlife and parties; now Miami is a synonym for delicious food and nice people.

When I think of Miami I think of Cuban food so with our serendipitously long stopover in Miami this weekend we made our way to a sweet spot called Sanguich!
