And guess what? It his background had ZERO to do with the restaurant business. Danny was a prominent fashion designer, stylist, and architect who worked with high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Lancome.

Absolutely loved this place. The owners care so much about every aspect of their sandwiches. They make everything from scratch, and you can taste the difference. The meats are well seasoned with tons of depth of flavor. The bread is perfectly crusty and glistening from being basted with lard. The proportions of everything were spot on. Every ingredient compliments the rest, including the sauces and their scratch-made hot sauces, that despite being made with frighteningly hot peppers (lookin at you guava + Carolina reaper), the flavors still shine through.

My fav was the pan con lechon bc I’m a serious sucker for pickled onions and their sweet acidity complimented the fatty, shredded roasted pig perfectly.

And please whatever you do, don’t sleep on the croquettas. They are so crispy on the outside, not greasy at all, smooth and salty inside, and the SAUCE. ✋🏻 So bright, fresh and tangy. Perfect with the croquettas.

You might know him as Danny Figueredo, the man behind sanguichdemiami , a popular Cuban sandwich shop in Little Havana 🤤 But what you may not know is that Danny built this restaurant using the knowledge and skills he acquired over a diverse and fascinating 25 year career trajectory.

And guess what? It his background had ZERO to do with the restaurant business. Danny was a prominent fashion designer, stylist, and architect who worked with high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Lancome.

This interview goes beyond the delicious sandwiches you know. He talks about how he started, the misconception surrounding success, and how completely losing his entire lucrative business led him to opening up Sanguich.

Danny is a great example that shows the power of resilience and how a closed door can redirect you to your purpose in life.

Absolutely loved this place. The owners care so much about every aspect of their sandwiches. They make everything from scratch, and you can taste the difference. The meats are well seasoned with tons of depth of flavor. The bread is perfectly crusty and glistening from being basted with lard. The proportions of everything were spot on. Every ingredient compliments the rest, including the sauces and their scratch-made hot sauces, that despite being made with frighteningly hot peppers (lookin at you guava + Carolina reaper), the flavors still shine through.

My fav was the pan con lechon bc I’m a serious sucker for pickled onions and their sweet acidity complimented the fatty, shredded roasted pig perfectly.

And please whatever you do, don’t sleep on the croquettas. They are so crispy on the outside, not greasy at all, smooth and salty inside, and the SAUCE. ✋🏻 So bright, fresh and tangy. Perfect with the croquettas.
